Celebremos juntOs/ Let’s celebrate together

Tendremos que seguir marcando el 8 de marzo como una fecha simbólica en nuestros calendarios mientras en el mundo sigan existiendo Arfas, Sakinehs o Marylins. Tendremos que seguir trabajando cada día, cada una en sus pequeñas batallas, para que este mundo a ratitos enfermo y la mayor parte del tiempo en tremendo desequilibrio, cambie de una vez por todas.

Hoy festejo con orgullo el hecho de ser mujer, lo que NO significa culpar a nadie del camino que nos queda aún por recorrer y lo que implica celebrar todOs juntOs el tramo que ya se ha recorrido.

Hoy agradecezco enormemente a la vida el hemisferio del mundo que eligió para mí y para mi hija.

Hoy celebro, pero sin perder de vista el dolor de muchas otras.

Hoy, como cada año, renuevo uno de mis mantras: todos los días son 8 de marzo.

Every 8th of March will have to be a special date while Arfa’s, Sakineh’s or Marylin’s lives are part of our unsolved issues. We must keep on working in our own small battles to definitively change this sick and (most of the times) unbalanced world.

Today I am proud of being a woman, which doesn’t imply blame anyone of things that still don’t work for us. It means that we, men and women, have to celebrate together that we’re moving forward every day.

Today I am thankful about the hemisphere of the planet where I and my daughter were born.

Today I’m absolutely delighted, but I don’t forget the pain of other women.

Today, like every 8th of March, I renew one of my mantras, one of my lines on the sand: everyday is 8th of March.
